New Weather Stations Perranporth, Par and Crantock

MS4S project has installed new weather stations at Perranporth, Par and Crantock as part of the programme to install this type of data gathering equipment at strategic locations. These stations will collect valuable data on wind speed, wind direction and rainfall.  The reason we are doing this is to better understand the effect these conditions have on enabling sand on a beach to migrate further inland.  The resulting data will enable us to visualise these changes through dune evolution modelling and help us to predict future coastal change due to rising sea levels and storm events. For further information please go to the Weather Stations section on our Data Modelling Page.
